Leslie M. Ching, DO
Family Practice Resident

Leslie is a 2010 graduate of the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Blacksburg, VA. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Chicago, with an honors in psychology. Her most interesting job prior to starting as an intern was working on a mostly organic farm and living in a converted barn with compost toilets nearby, with 13-20 other people in Purcellville, VA. Her second most interesting job was at an antiquarian bookstore in San Francisco, CA, where the most expensive book they had was a $25,000 signed first edition of “Gone With the Wind.” Her professional interests include osteopathic principles and practice, as well as medical education. She has treated people osteopathically in a wide variety of settings, including on several school desks that were pushed together in Guatemala, on picnic tables, in airports, and during parties. Having a special table on which to practice OMM on is always appreciated but not necessary! In her spare time, Leslie enjoys reading on a wide variety of topics, going to farmers markets, cooking with produce from farmers markets, hiking, practicing zazen, and watching baseball. Of note, she is at her most competitive when playing Trivial Pursuit, where she can get rather obnoxious.
