Jamie Stamps, DO
Family Practice Resident
Jamie was raised in Akron, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree. (Go BUCKEYES!) During her time at OSU, Jamie volunteered as a science and math tutor for inner city middle school students. She also worked as a research assistant and searched for a better understanding of the mechanisms and cure for diabetes. She graduated from OSU with an Honors Biology major and Business minor. Jamie then attended the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated with the degree Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009.
While a medical student, Jamie served as fundraising chair and recruiter for the American Medical Association. She volunteered through Reach Out of Montgomery County where she provided access to health care services for the underserved and uninsured population in Montgomery County. Jamie also participated in community-oriented, primary care rotations in medically underserved areas with an emphasis on educating patients about diabetes and comorbidities of the disease.
Jamie enjoys mission work and travel to various countries. She traveled to Peru with a medical missions team, and this experience fueled her passion for her pursuance of medicine. Jamie is happily married to her husband Stacy. She enjoys running and biking. She has an interest in arts and crafts, and she loves interior design and decorating. Jamie also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
